-This is a major advantage because a succession of crops can be grown that can be harvested using the over the row harvester.

-It allows for the harvester to be better utilized and the cost of the harvester is more justifiable.

-The harvester speeds up picking time and there isn't any damage to the tree that using a shaker would cause to the tree in orchards where the cherries are large trees.
